Spring Favorites

For all mothers out there, I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s day. Every year my mom, sister and I go to a restaurant with the kids for mother’s day. This year we decided to make dinner at my house instead. It was a good idea because not only was it a rainy day but we also didn’t have to deal with hours of waiting to be seated, kids complaining and whining every five minutes because they were hungry so dinner at home was just perfect! Did I mention that I woke up to breakfast in bed? I swear I’m blessed and grateful for having such an amazing family.

I wanted to share with you some of my top spring makeup favorites. These babies right here have been part of my daily routine for the past month or so. I realized I don’t do my makeup like I used to or I should say my makeup routine has changed. I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m getting older or maybe because I just don’t have time in the mornings like I used to before. Who knows! Regardless, I kind of like it. Lately I’ve been doing my makeup very simple when I go to work; I mean I have to anyways because I work in the medical field. Unless I’m going out to dinner or an event then I’ll do bold makeup.

EOS Lip Balm: Whether I use a matte, creamy or gloss lipstick my EOS lip balm can’t miss. I’ve been using sweet mint for three years as a daily moisturizer for my lips and I can’t live without it. EOS lip balm is packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter, and jojoba oil which keep the lips smooth and soft. I confess that I bought a few sweet mint lip balms to keep around me at all times. I keep one in my makeup room, bathroom, bag and car. I know, the obsession is real.

MAKEUP FOREVER Artist Rouge Mat: I bought this lipstick recently and I love everything about it. M200 Powder Pink is my new spring color obsession. I’m pretty sure you guys know that by know, if you are keeping up with my blogs ;-). This is a high pigmented lipstick with an intense color and texture that lasts over 10 hours. What’s better than having a lipstick that lasts long, is high pigmented and can also keep your lips moist without leaving behind any visible ugly dry lines? Just saying…

Miracle Gel: The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Color range is absolutely amazing! Ok so I’m not going to lie, when I first bought this nail polish I thought it was overpriced. But I was wrong! Having a polish that lasts as long as a salon gel manicure, looks just as glossy and is just as long lasting is game changing for me! In just two easy steps I get up to 14 days of color and shine. It’s also more chip-resistant than regular nail polish! Plus, it’s far easier to remove than salon gels. Again, I’m in love this beautiful (color). Perfect for any occasion, very chic and classy.

Cocoa Powder Foundation: This Cocoa Powder Foundation from Too Faced is pretty much one of my daily essentials. This antioxidant-rich, oil-absorbing, non-drying powder defends against free radicals, while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and pores. It blends well with my skin leaving a luminous rose petal finish. I have tried every single powder foundation out there and this is a winner for me. Again, everyone has different types of skin but I have to say that I don’t break out with this one and for me this is a plus.

Hourglass- Ambient® Strobe Lighting Powder: This is the perfect lighting powder if you are going for a natural and elegant glow. I use it pretty much every day and I absolutely love it!

Thanks for reading and I hope guys have a wonderful weekend. Happy Saturday!

XO,

NR
